Start-up is the process of creating a new lucrative activity field and considered to bring a lot of value to the academic community and benefits to society. In recent years, the start up ideas of students through competitions has been increasingly concerned by schools and businesses.
The “Start-up stars 2019” competition of the Faculty of Business Administration – Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh city is a contest to express the business realism demo. The competition attracted the registrations of students with outstanding academic achievements and corporate activities. Entrepreneurial ideas are conceived and built by enthusiastic young people, who can grasp new knowledge and technology. The contest also receives mentoring by experienced lecturers in teaching and practical business.
To develop a good startup idea, students should define clearly their goals/visions, carry out the market research carefully to analyse the key elements which impact on creating the competitive products or services and choosing the efficient business model.
Moreover, students need to consult the opinions of experts such as lecturers, entrepreneurs, and other experienced people to understand the topic that is being pursued.
When participating in the “Start-up stars 2019”, students not only satisfy their passion for researching and developing of ideas but also receive a lot of support from lecturers and enterprises through comments, advice to improve the ideas gradually.
