At 9:00 a.m on January 25, 2024, in meeting room E2, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, the VALOMA membership decision awarding ceremony took place. At the ceremony, the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA) awarded the membership decision to Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City and conducted a discussion on issues related to human resource training, logistics and supply chain industry. The program has the participation of representatives of ministries and associations, researchers, prestigious leading lecturers in the country on Logistics & supply chain management and Logistics businesses in the area.

Attending the ceremony, there was Associate Professor, PhD. Dam Sao Mai – Vice Rector of the IUH, Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan – Head of Office Of Academic Affairs, Associate Professor, PhD. Le Dinh Vu – Director of Enterprise Collaboration And Job Support Center, PhD. Nguyen Thanh Long – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and all Head of Academic department of Faculty of Business Administration. On the VALOMA side, leading the delegation was Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, honorary president of VALOMA and Associate Professor PhD. Ho Thi Thu Hoa – Vice President of VALOMA, Director of Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI) and representatives of other members of the Association.
With Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City City becoming a member of VALOMA, Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA) will be a bridge connecting the team of domestic and international logistics experts to contribute comments, training programs, specialized lectures, experience sharing and career orientation for students. At the same time, connecting the Association’s member businesses in receiving internships, and recruiting students majoring in Logistics and supply chain management, ensuring that all students of this major at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City can experience the professional working environment at the enterprise and have the advantage of working right after graduation.

Accordingly, VALOMA will cooperate closely with the school in consulting, supporting and providing practical training for the Logistics profession, closely coordinating with the Faculty of Business Administration – the owner of this major with the aim of promoting learning of students and lecturers at IUH. Specifically, the connection between IUH and universities and training facilities nationwide through lecturer and student exchange activities; Share experiences in developing training programs, materials, and teaching methods suitable to practice. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to create connections between schools and logistics businesses, grasping the need to recruit and train human resources right at the school; Helps students gain practical experience and access many job opportunities…
It is known that the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA) was officially recognized and established by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Decision No. 568/QD-BNV dated April 30, 2021. The Association is an organization that brings together experts, training facilities, and businesses in the field of logistics in Vietnam. By the end of 2022, the Association has 351 members including business organizations and training facilities and individual members operating in the field of logistics, supply chain management and related activities, unite and strive to develop high-quality logistics human resources to meet the international integration requirements of Vietnam logistics industry.
